PANTRY BOY

A pantry boy is responsible for preparing cold appetizers, garnishing dishes, and creating vinaigrettes and dips. They ensure food freshness, quality and presentation, while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role requires knowledge of professional kitchen equipment, multitasking abilities, and availability to work flexible shifts.  

PANTRY BOY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Make cold appetizers, including salads, vegetable and meat roll-ups and bruschetta’s.
  2. Garnish dishes with spices, nuts, fruits, and vegetables.
  3. Prepare vinaigrettes, dips, and herb infused oil.
  4. Perform meal-prep activities before guests arrive (like chopping vegetables, cutting fish and meat and washing fruits).
  5. Store ingredients to keep them fresh and reduce food wastage.
  6. Check food plating, temperature and portions for all cold dishes.
  7. Sterilize kitchen equipment at the end of your shift.
  8. Monitor stock and place orders, as needed.
  9. Recommend modern recipes to renew our menu and add nutritious, creative cold dishes.
  10. Maintain a clean station at all times.
