GENERAL PURPOSE

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and themselves. Lifeguards should be aware of the serious nature of the job and must be self-disciplined, in good physical condition, and able to cope with special situations. They must be safety conscious and able to work outside in all weather condition. Lifeguards interact directly with guests by providing courteous, friendly, and professional assistance. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure the safety well being of guests enjoying the water park.
  2. Understands and applies all water park rules and regulations consistently.
  3. Provide assistance to guests by; Assisting guests onto tubes, lifting/carrying tubes to appropriate pools, dispatching riders down waterslides, assisting swimmers in distress in water and guests in distress on desk, assisting guests with lost items/children.
  4. Provides first aid in emergency situations.
  5. Project and maintain positive, professional relations/interaction with guests.
  6. Perform general maintenance and care of facilities and equipment as requested.
  7. Inspect and maintain attractions and surrounding areas, including but not limited to: straightening up chairs and tables, cleaning surface areas as necessary, eliminating potentials slip and falls hazards.
  8. Organize and stack tubes securely.
  9. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, training programs and in-service training as required.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
