Drivers typically works for corporations to collect packages and deliver them to customers. They maintain electronic logs to track their route schedules and confirm deliveries. Their job is to operate a truck, buss, or van in a safe, efficient manner to deliver packages to customers within a particular area. They may also be responsible for obtaining signatures from recipients when delivering large or fragile packages.

DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations.
  2. Arrive at destination on schedule.
  3. Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
  4. Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays.
  5. Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
  6. Interact with clients professionally at all times.
  7. Ensure that the vehicles is always fueled and ready for use.
  8. Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
  9. Keep mileage record and repair record up-to-date.
