DELIVERY ASSISTANT

A delivery assistant primarily assists delivery drivers in locating and delivering parcels to clients. They participate in loading and unloading packages, handling documents, coordinating with logistics staff, engaging with clients, and organizing and inspecting items to ensure quality and accuracy. They may also take calls to respond to inquiries, make calls to confirm details, locate receivers, and run errands as necessary. Moreover, they must assist drivers in conducting regular vehicle maintenance checks to ensure a safe and efficient work flow. 

DELIVERY ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage product invoices, money and GPS to meet deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Handle on-line complaints and sent/receive reports through USPS software.
  3. Train employees and supervisors to operate the system on the AS400 mainframe.
  4. Set up GPS and route in order to complete each delivery on time and efficiently.
  5. Utilize time management skills to facilitate the timely delivery and pick-up for residential and corporate packages during the busy holiday season.
  6. Learned how to work electronic DIAD systems and collect signatures along with other necessary documents.
