PACKING STAFF

A Packer is a warehouse employee responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging inventory is shipping containers and preparing them for shipment. Their duties include interpreting order invoices to determine which items is need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.

PACKING STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Weighing packages and labeling them appropriately.
  2. Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged.
  3. Inspecting shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations.
  4. Assembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories.
  5. Keeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc.
  6. Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information.
  7. Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately.
  8. Cleaning shipping containers and other shipping supplies.
